Job Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire Lab Technicians for a manufacturing warehouse located in Cartersville!

Qualifications for Lab Technicians:

After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications:

• Must have an associates degree in a science-related field.

• Must have 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.

• Food and beverage experience is a plus.

• Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.

Assignment Duties for Lab Technicians:

• Verify that Quality equipment is functioning properly by performing and documenting maintenance calibration and verification to ensure product testing results are accurate.

• Perform daily raw material receipt by reviewing COAs sampling materials and logging receipt and inspection results to verify that all materials meet specifications.

• Perform shelf-life extensions when needed.

• Verify effectiveness of cleaning & sanitation procedures by performing pre/post-operational inspections of production lines to verify beverage contact equipment is in a sanitary condition.

• Perform environmental testing by collecting water samples and by performing hygienic swabbing throughout the facility to ensure the effectiveness of sanitation procedures.

• Fill out batch reports calculate variations in batch sizes proper attributes standards and other data required on batch reports documented per formula.

• Measure and follow proper mixing procedures paying close attention to accuracy.

• Keep Quality Laboratory in order and with necessary supplies by cleaning the lab equipment and performing supply inventory in order to maintain housekeeping expectations.

• Perform and document facility auditing to ensure that all required testing is being performed and that process operating guidelines are being followed.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverages syrups and raw materials throughout the entire production process and analyze attributes.

• Conduct filling line quality inspections quality audits and isolate products that do not meet standards.

• Assist in the development of measures to avoid mistakes in cooperation with Quality Lab Supervisor.

• Assist to adjust materials or production batches that deviate from the target state with supervision from supervisor.

• Verify information on Production and QA Batch Tickets as needed.

• Send production samples to Customers as per their request.

• Send analysis requests & final product samples to external third-party laboratories.

• Coordinate with other departments for seamless product delivery to the customer.

• Maintain an organized clean safe and health-conscious work environment.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Shift Details: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
