Job Purpose:
Beacon Communication is seeking a Strutured Cablilng Project Manager to oversee and manage projects in the Rocky Mountain Region from initiation through completion ensuring work is performed safely efficiently and in accordance with project specifications schedules and budgets. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating resources managing project documentation maintaining communication with customers and internal teams and ensuring high quality project delivery while supporting company standards and operational goals.
The salary range for this role is between $75000 USD and $95000 USD based on relevant factors such as education experience and other job-related addition this position is eligible for commissions (which will be shared in more detail at a later time) and an auto allowance of $138.46/week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from award through completion including scheduling coordination and project execution
- Review project contracts drawings specifications and scope of work to ensure full understanding of project requirements
- Coordinate manpower materials and resources with operations and field personnel to meet project schedules
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays risks or issues that may impact completion
- Manage project budgets cost tracking and financial performance
- Review and approve material procurement and purchase orders related to assigned projects
- Manage and document change orders ensuring proper communication and approval with customers and internal teams
- Attend and participate in project meetings including kickoff meetings coordination meetings and progress meetings
- Maintain clear communication with customers contractors vendors and internal teams regarding project status
- Provide project updates to management regarding schedule financial performance and project risks
- Ensure all project documentation including submittals RFIs drawings and project correspondence are properly maintained
- Support field teams by addressing project issues clarifying scope and coordinating solutions when challenges arise
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with company safety policies industry standards and customer requirements
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Provide accurate project documentation and reporting according to Beacon Communications policies
- Overnight travel as necessary
- Demonstrate understanding of Beacon projects and work toward continued improvement and efficiency
- Arrive for meetings and jobsite visits on time dressed in a professional manner
- Understand that customer relations and customer satisfaction is our primary goal perform in a professional manner demonstrating courtesy and respect to Beacon customers
- Attend and take part in weekly safety discussion

Education License and Experience:
- 8 years experience working within the Structured Cabling/ICT industry
- High School Diploma or approved equivalent required
- Manufacturer Certifications preferred including: CommScope Belden and Panduit
- BICSI Certifications preferred
- BICSI RTPM PMP or equivalent experience preferred
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Business Engineering or related field
Preferred
- 4 years of experience managing construction or low voltage technology projects
- Experience with project management software such as Vista or similar platforms preferred
Physical Requirements:
- May require walking active construction sites and navigating uneven terrain
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements
- Willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging
- Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening
- Maintain a valid Drivers License
Travel Requirements:
- 20-40% travel in Rocky Mountain region as needed
