This teacher will be responsible for teaching second grade core content areas and leading a homeroom class. The position is full The Grammar School:The Grammar School () was founded in 1960 by a small group of families with the understanding that a childs elementary school years provide the foundation for all future learning. TGS the oldest of the independent elementary schools in southern Vermont attracts families from Vermont and New Hampshire and has been a forerunner in programming in the arts service learning and nature-based education. The school is located on 60 acres of fields and forest and has a close-knit community of 130 students and adults. Outdoor study and play are key components of The Grammar Schools educational philosophy. Our students participate in hands-on learning activities that combine the humanities and the arts and cultivate practical intellectual and creative skills. We emphasize the development of critical skills in reading and writing and foundational math skills. Collaboration and respectful interactions are attributes of our curriculum.
