Dynacraft a PACCAR Company is headquartered in McKinney TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the companys truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville KY and McKinney TX.

Job Summary

Dynacraft is looking for a Product Engineer to support our current and future product lines. We need an energetic creative engineer to help improve our product and service offerings. This position is responsible for maintaining business in support of Dynacraft goals and objectives and will coordinate efforts across several business disciplines. The ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships while demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills are required to be successful. The ideal candidate is experienced in manufacturing is proactive in taking action to lead quality improvements and will have demonstrated success in making lasting improvements. Fact-based decision making is a requirement for success. This position will be located in either McKinney TX or Louisville KY.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to customers engineers for Dynacraft products.
• Model designs for both customers and Dynacraft proprietary products.
• Develop and maintain assembly drawings on truck related components.
• Develop bills of material labor estimates and product cost estimates
• Conduct product qualification testing and prepare test schedules and reports.
• Resolve issues related to quality or manufacturing.
• Coordinate with suppliers to find the best performing products while reducing costs.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in an industry related role is required.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with Creo / Windchill
• Excellent Teamwork Philosophy; including written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating bills of materials for the introduction of modern designs.
• Experience coordinating prototyping of parts.
• Experience specifying testing and evaluation of results.
• Experience coordinating supplier activities and directing production pilot activities.
• Product development & program management experience
• Outstanding organizational planning and tracking skills.
• Attention to detail with a big picture focus.
• Wiliness to learn and make use of new engineering processes & techniques to solve complex technical problems.

Education

• Four-year degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
• Six Sigma training strongly desired
• Project Management training strongly desired
