Project Manager Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Location: South East England Permanent Role
I am working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major water and wastewater programmes across the South East. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning execution and delivery of capital projects that maintain enhance and future-proof critical water infrastructure.

The Opportunity
You will take full ownership of water and wastewater project delivery coordinating design planning construction permitting traffic management commissioning and commercial activities. You will ensure performance against time cost quality and safety objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration continuous improvement and behavioural safety.
As Project Manager you will be the main interface with clients managing progress reporting change control operational constraints and assurance processes while maintaining robust governance programme baselines and risk management across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Manage design teams subcontractors and site delivery staff
Establish and maintain project governance integrated programmes and critical-path schedules
Oversee CDM Principal Contractor duties RAMS and safe-by-design approaches
Monitor budgets forecasts cost control and subcontractor performance
Coordinate across all project disciplines ensuring timely and defect-free delivery
Promote a high-performing culture focused on safety collaboration and continuous improvement
About You
Degree HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering Construction or related discipline
ILM Level 5 (or equivalent)
NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)
Proven track record as a Project Manager or similar role in water/wastewater or civil infrastructure projects
Experienced in managing designers subcontractors and multidiscipline teams
Strong operational and delivery experience including programme and budget management
SMSTS certification
