About the Role & Team
IDCs China is looking for the Events Head where youll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering some of the countrys most influential technology conferences and summits.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate client-focused events professional with at least 5 years of experience in managing B2B conferences and exhibitions. Based in Beijing the candidate will work alongside a skilled collaborative and fun team of event experts who bring IDCs vision to life in China. The role requires the candidate to be responsible for managing the events that are scheduled to take place within China.
WhatYoullDo:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of conferences and summits across China.
- Work closely with internal teams clients and sponsors to develop compelling agendas and event experiences.
- Manage relationships with venues vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Monitor profitability track event KPIs and ensure events meet both client expectations and IDC standards.
- Utilize social media and digital tools to support event marketing and drive audience engagement.
- Be a team player who contributes to a collaborative high-energy environment and inspires colleagues.
What You Bring
- has minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Event Management Marketing Communications Business or a related field.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in managing B2B conferences preferably within the technology consulting or media industries.
- Proven track record in client-facing roles event budgeting and multi-event project management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- Working knowledge of social media platforms for event marketing and engagement.
- Experience with virtual/hybrid event platforms (e.g. CVENT Hopin On24) and live streaming technologies.
- Open to travel for events and Support regional teams outside China when needed based on event priorities.
