FundSettle Operations Funds Admission & Account Opening - Team Member

Your part of the deal :

Hong Kong Operations is threefold:

  • Report Asian Voice of Customer
  • Support Follow-The-Sun initiative
  • Support Business Continuity Plan

As team member of the FundSettle Operations-Funds Admission & Account Opening Team in Hong Kong you will be responsible to perform assigned task related to the review and analysis of fund prospectus setup of new investment funds in Euroclear and FundSettle requests will come from Clients and Agents to setup these funds and open account. Opening these funds and accounts meeting the dealing deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness of the database is one of the main objectives of the team.

Main tasks performed by the team are:

  • perform all funds admission and account opening tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) keeping in mind quality quantity risk and client focus
  • check the eligibility (legal and operational criterias) as well as the dealing details of the funds
  • work on quality controls (definitive conditions)
  • check the account opening procedures and facilitate the account opening with the Transfer agent
  • respect the deadlines to meet the clients expectation (front office)
  • be critical on existing flows and processes to see if they can be improved either on a client focus or process efficiency point of view
  • investigate and resolve any issues related to the assigned task and workstream

For the Day to day job Team member will interact with various transfer agents globally and FundSettle Operations Teams and Client Services Teams in Belgium Poland Hong Kong.

Team member will also interact with other Euroclear departments/divisions such as Commercial Funds Product Management Funds Agent Network Management.

Your main objectives will be:

  1. Delivering service:

Ensure all assigned task is performed timely completely and accurately in accordance to defined procedures

Ensure operational issues and delays are escalated to team leader

Ensure stability of the service level and gradually bring it to the next level up

Contribute to meet the client survey client loyalty and KPI targets (special focus on turnaround time of queries and quality of feedback)

Effective follow up of ad hoc projects

(ii) Continuous improvement (CI)

Participate in standardization by SOP adherence (in line with skills matrix)

Ensure PSS methodology is applied consistently focusing on the check of the PDCA lifecycle

Ensure that Lean deliverables (KANO Control map) are living documents

(iii) Productivity and cost management:

Focus on query avoidance by driving internal (service level increase)

Challenge waste

Share and adopt best practices & break the silos

(iv) Risk Management:

Apply & practice risk & security awareness at all time

Adhere to risk management policies & procedures

Use Control Map as living document to minimize the risk of error and loss.

(v) Training:

Provide training support to new team members

Your profile :

  • University Degree holder in relevant discipline.
  • Banking / Fund House Operations experience preferred.
  • Client focused
  • Strong communication skills in Cantonese English (written & oral) Mandarin is a definite advantage.
  • Ability to independently resolve problems with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to express well-founded opinions / positions and to understand their consequences
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with high quality assurance
  • Sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Attention to details is critical
  • Positive flexible and risk oriented mindset
  • Solid knowledge of MS office (Excel Powerpoint)
