As a Treasury Operations Analyst in Prime Financial Services Business team you will ensure that Exchange margin requirement and intercompany funding is met accurately and promptly fulfilling our obligations as a member of the global exchanges. J.P. Morgan is a clearing member for most of the exchanges globally. You will be focusing upon Listed Derivative Exchanges globally. The Singapore Regional Operations Centre (ROC) will be J.P. Morgans preferred hub for a wide range of operational support for our listed derivatives will have an opportunity to be exposed to the latest automation tools and FINTECH development and you should embrace these new tools to improve the delivery of the process.
Job responsibilities
- Act asa point of contact for the group from Asia Pacific strategic standpoint
- Process all funding requirements/margin calls accurately and promptly both at the exchange and within the internal
- Perform all Foreign Exchange (FX) for restricted currencies accurately and timely
- Be aware of the appropriate escalation procedures when issues are raised
- Review and check production output from a control aspect
- Review processes regularly and where possible make suggestions for greater efficiency and control improvement
- Keep all procedures up to day and easily accessible
- Handle any ad hoc requests/queries of the team are dealt with in an appropriate manner
- Keep up to date with the latest automation tools and deploys them where applicable
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Economics Business Finance Information Systems or related disciplines
- Possesses futures and options knowledge
- Excellent Client focus and Customer care working practices
- Flexible attitude towards working hours due to the demands of the working place
- Strong intellectual curiosity for process improvements and adopt a positive change mindset
- Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
- Strong time management skills required to meet the many internal and external deadlines
- Strong computer skills and appetite to learn/deploy new technologies to automate / streamline workflow
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Prior experience in Banking or Financial Services industry will be a plus
- Market and product knowledge for Asia Pacific markets would be advantageous
- Proficiency in both verbal and written Mandarin is preferred to liaise with the regional team and clients based in China
