KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Community Services Department is seeking enthusiastic high school or post-secondary students who enjoy working with children and embracing the great outdoors during our picturesque northern summer.
Day Camp Leaders are responsible for leading games crafts sports and activities while ensuring all participants are safe engaged and having a positive day camp experience. Successful candidates bring energy creativity and strong supervision skills to help create a fun inclusive and memorable summer for every child.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the following in their resume:
- Current high school or post-secondary student (proof of enrollment in post-secondary studies may be required)
- Intermediate First Aid and CPR Certification (copy of valid certification must be provided)
- Childcare experience (formal employment and/or informal experience such as babysitting or coaching should be detailed in your application)
- A Vulnerable Sector Check (required for applicants 18 years of age or older prior to commencement of employment)

HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY:
Rate of pay: $28.27 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
Anticipated start date: Mid-late June 2026
Duration of employment: commencing in June through to the middle/end of August depending on camp dates
Hours of Work: Both casual full-time and part-time positions are available
