Job Description

You are a team player who can assist the Centralized Properties branch in the confirmation and validation of property related data.

You have:

  • Enrollment in secondary or post-secondary education with a preference for post-secondary enrollment and returning to studies in the next academic term
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Power Point and Outlook)
  • Ability to work on a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow proper procedures and demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Must meet Ontarios minimum working age for the job duties required


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge and/or demonstrated experience in assessment


What you will do:

  • Support in the validation of property related data in MPAC databases ensuring information is up to date including field inspections where necessary
  • Assist with inputting data from a variety of source documents into applicable assessment related software as required
  • Assist in the assessment process by attending meetings or inspections and document findings as supported by existing staff
  • Conduct research and present findings to the Manager Centralized Properties as required

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program and all participants must meet specific eligibility criteria. For eligibility criteria please visit Canada Summer Jobs Wage Subsidy

Summer Student Wage Rates:

  • Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.60 per hour
  • Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary first-time hire: $18.35 per hour
  • Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary returning employment: $19.35 per hour

Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August
