Holy Family CRD is seeking a highly motivated educator with visionary leadership to fill the role of Principal at St. Stephens School in Valleyview Alberta. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student success a commitment to collaborative leadership a good understanding of school improvement and culture and be able to work in the context of the Catholic school community.
- Position start date is August 26 2026
St. Stephens is a K-9 school with approximately 240 students 16 Certified Staff and 22 Support Staff.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith
- Can create a culture of high expectation for students staff and effectively partner the administrators teachers support staff parents and the community
- Can cultivate a climate of mutual respect with students promoting engagement and have a proven ability to build relationships
- Provide leadership in the implementation of High School programming assessment and reporting
- Demonstrate effective communication facilitation and problem solving skills
- Promote and model lifelong learning for students and staff
- Effectively plan organize and manage the human and physical resources of the school
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
- Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance pedagogy
- A commitment to students success
- Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to take on roles and challenges as they arise in order to meet School and Division goals
- Knowledge of First Nations Metis and Inuit Students
The successful candidate
- Eligible to be a teacher/leader in the province of Alberta - Teacher Alberta Certification Leadership Certification in Alberta
- Will be a member of the schools administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a Masters Degree or who are working towards their Masters Degree.
The salary reflects Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Collective Agreement.
