Holy Family CRD is seeking a highly motivated educator with visionary leadership to fill the role of Principal at St. Stephens School in Valleyview Alberta. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student success a commitment to collaborative leadership a good understanding of school improvement and culture and be able to work in the context of the Catholic school community.

Position start date is August 26 2026

St. Stephens is a K-9 school with approximately 240 students 16 Certified Staff and 22 Support Staff.

The ideal candidate will:

Be a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith
Can create a culture of high expectation for students staff and effectively partner the administrators teachers support staff parents and the community
Can cultivate a climate of mutual respect with students promoting engagement and have a proven ability to build relationships
Provide leadership in the implementation of High School programming assessment and reporting
Demonstrate effective communication facilitation and problem solving skills
Promote and model lifelong learning for students and staff
Effectively plan organize and manage the human and physical resources of the school
Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
The capacity to provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders
Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance pedagogy
A commitment to students success
Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to take on roles and challenges as they arise in order to meet School and Division goals
Knowledge of First Nations Metis and Inuit Students

The successful candidate

Eligible to be a teacher/leader in the province of Alberta - Teacher Alberta Certification Leadership Certification in Alberta
Will be a member of the schools administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Masters Degree or who are working towards their Masters Degree.

The salary reflects Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Collective Agreement.
