Ko tōu ake mahi - What youll do
In this role youll bring together clinical insight cultural leadership and a deep commitment to equity to ensure Pacific knowledge data and community voice shape public health decisions and priorities. Youll influence national policy guide system intelligence and help improve outcomes for Pacific communities through advice that is clinically sound culturally grounded and futurefocused.
Lead Pacificfocused clinical insights into public health strategy national planning and systemwide priorities.
Advise on clinically and culturally grounded approaches to Pacific wellbeing including prevention screening immunisation and chronic disease pathways.
Assess system performance for Pacific populations identifying gaps and recommending improvements that enhance equity and outcomes.
Ensure Pacific communities influence the design delivery and monitoring of public health programmes and responses.
Provide expert clinical input into emergencies surveillance communicable disease work and other national public health activities where Pacific communities have specific needs.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What youll bring
Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Proven clinical leadership experience with the ability to influence policy and drive systemlevel improvements for Pacific communities.
Deep expertise in Pacific health intelligence equity-focused practice or communityengaged clinical work.
Strong relationshipbuilding skills grounded in credibility across Pacific groups health agencies and crossgovernment partners.
Demonstrated thought leadership sound judgement and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to diverse audiences.
A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi equity in health outcomes and effective practice in culturally diverse and complex environments.
