Hato Hone St John is seeking a dedicated Operational Effectiveness Advisor Workforce & Planning for a 12 month fixed term opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of ambulance services in New Zealand. As part of our Operational Effectiveness team you will support critical workforce pipeline and planning initiatives ensuring the seamless delivery of services within the Emergency Ambulance Service (EAS).
- Support the delivery of workforce skill-mix and pipeline planning.
- Support the coordination of the recruitment of personnel as part of the activity
funding and the introduction of new roster patterns and new components
of the service delivery model. - Analyse data to support recommendations around the configuration and
location of any new resources in line with the Ambulance Operations
service delivery model. - Support the creation and updating and review of the patient centred
deployment (PCD) plans to optimise patient response. - Preparation of agenda items and information for workforce engagement
Union and other project related meetings as appropriate. - Contribute proactively as a member of the team through putting forward
recommendations to enhance service; and attending and actively
contributing to appropriate meetings.
Qualifications :
Ko wai koe - About you:
- Excellent skills in using BI tools to analyse service data.
- Experience in resource planning (emergency services environment preferred).
- Experience and success in introducing and managing transformational change in a health environment able to take people on the change journey.
- Strong customer service and patient-centric focus that is exemplified in key account management and networking skills that build and maintain high levels of credibility positively influencing peoples thinking to achieve required understandings and the outcomes/results needed by different groups/stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with workforce management systems or analytics platforms
- Authority to Practice (ATP) is not required and is not supported in this role although the role holder may elect to maintain ATP in their personal time provided that doing so does not impact on performance/outcomes required in the role.
