About the role

Support surgery to patients of all ages in predominantly Ophthalmology but supporting other areas within the perioperative team in Dunedin as needed.

Coordinate and facilitate the smooth transitioning of both elective and acute patients
Care for patients right across the continuum of care from preadmissions through to discharge.
Accommodate patients admitted for a variety of non-theatre procedures.
Initiate and participate in quality improvement activities.
Embrace technological advancements
Contribute to the new Dunedin Hospital planning and transition.
Create solutions to problems in a responsive manner.
Deliver big picture ideas planning and implementation.

About you

You will have:

NZ Nursing registration with current APC
Proven leadership experience
A strong vision for day surgery
Airway management skills are desirable but not essential.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale between $114025 and $121444 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
