Job Summary
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree diploma or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being this case the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in valid Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
For complete program details please go to our website: of the summer programs happening on campus this summer require accompanists on piano bass guitar and drums. These accompanists will be hired as the house band to work in varied ensembles. Also available are positions in ensembles performing on other instruments depending on the needs of program directors.Experience and Qualifications:
All accompanists must be able to sight-read lead sheets and rhythm section charts that have time slashes chord progressions and additional rhythmic figures. Candidates must also be reliable patient cooperative and be open to taking direction or critique from the instructors/students. The students are prospective undergraduate students at Berklee and we expect them to be treated as you would other members of the community. Seeking both upright and/or electric bassists.
What to expect in the ensemble
You will be playing with a rhythm section and the material will cover a wide variety of styles including but not limited to pop rock jazz Latin country R&B and funk.
