Qualifications:
Teaching candidates will be expected to plan for highly engaging in-person learning instruction with clear daily learning objectives for the purpose of student credit recovery.
Teaching and counseling candidates must be able to monitor student progress and communicate progress with the student and parents while assisting with content-related support as needed.
Candidates must hold a valid 9-12 Missouri teaching certification in the required content area for the duration of the summer program for all positions.
Dates of Summer Learning include:
- Staff PD and Workdays on June 5th & 8th 2026
- Student learning from June 9th-July 2nd 2026
- Contract Time Mon-Thurs 8:45am-1:45pm
- NO FRIDAYS & No School June 19th (Juneteenth observed)
- Staff are paid for days worked/hourly; no pay for days not worked
- Prior to June 5th each site will have staff meetings and collaborative planning time for up to an additional 6 hours of pay to be determined by the Administrative Intern
- Positions are contingent upon enrollment
Compensation:
- The School District of University City offers a competitive salary of $32/hr-$34/hr for the summer EL Teaching positions
Pay Dates:
- Days worked June 5th-June 18th will be paid on June 26th
- Days worked June 22nd-July 2nd will be paid on July 10th
