Job Summary
Business Analyst 3
Location: Austin TX
Duration: 3 Months
Position Overview
Seeking a senior-level Business Analyst 3 to support automation initiatives and enhancements to existing applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive Agile experience strong user story development skills QA/UAT leadership experience and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders and development teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined validated and successfully implemented.
Primary Responsibilities
Gather analyze and document business requirements user needs and system issues
Translate business requirements into detailed well-defined user stories
Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure readiness for development
Develop wireframes to support intuitive user-centered designs
Conduct manual testing including mobile application testing
Perform QA reviews of user stories to ensure completeness and non-functional requirements are met
Coordinate and guide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders
Document additional backlog items identified during UAT
Participate in and/or lead Agile ceremonies:
Backlog Refinement
Sprint Planning
Daily Standups
Retrospectives
Serve as liaison between stakeholders and development teams
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Troubleshoot system issues and recommend effective solutions
Provide consultation on application analysis
Adhere to organizational policies and procedures
Baseline Expectations
Attend scheduled meetings
Meet project deadlines
Organize and manage assigned tasks effectively
Work independently and efficiently
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
8 years experience working in Agile methodologies
8 years experience creating user stories and participating in all Agile ceremonies
8 years experience leading Refinement Sprint Planning Standups and Retrospectives
8 years experience with Azure DevOps Jira or similar tools
8 years performing highly complex (senior-level) business analysis work
8 years working under limited supervision with independent judgment
8 years performing QA reviews of user stories (including non-functional requirements validation)
8 years coordinating and guiding UAT activities with business stakeholders
8 years identifying automation opportunities and preparing proposals and/or wireframes
8 years consulting on application analysis troubleshooting system issues and implementing solutions
