Job Summary

Marblehead Public Schools is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a ESY school nurse. One position is at the elementary level and the other is at the secondary Duties and Responsibilities:Address and promote the physical mental emotional and social well-being of students and the school communityProvide health care through assessment intervention and follow upProvide skilled nursing care as indicatedWrite and implement individual health care plans for studentsMonitor immunizations managing communicable diseases and oversee any infection control measuresMaintain student health records in compliance with FERPA IDEA and any other applicable regulationsParticipate in school safety planningOther duties as assigned by ESY Director or Assistant Superintendent of Student ServicesRequired QualificationsCurrent DESE License as School Nurse (must have a Bachelors or Masters in Nursing to be eligible for DESE licensure)Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in MA per Board of RegistrationAbility to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 25 pounds and sufficient mobility to navigate the school buildingPreferred QualificationsPediatric nursing experienceExperience with SBIRTSchool Nurses are part of the Unit A (Teachers) collective bargaining unit; salary is in accordance with that contract.
