Education: Two years of high school required. Some internships may require a bachelors degree; or enrolled in and nearing completion of an undergraduate degree or terminal degree in a field relevant to the internship
Licensure certification and/or registration: Clinical interns may be required to be enrolled in an accredited professional program (e.g. pharmacy nursing allied health) and meet regulatory or licensure-related requirements.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work efficiently manage time wisely and follow policies and procedures with minimal supervision. Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated initiative professionalism and willingness to learn. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Must be at least 16 years of age. Assignments that use chemicals or power tools require intern to be at least 18 years of age.

The Helping Hands Internship offers students a unique opportunity to understand day-to-day patient flow visitor interactions and the operational rhythm of inpatient carewithout providing hands-on clinical care.
Interns in this role support the patient and visitor experience through meaningful interactions communication assistance and service-focused tasks that help
As a Helping Hands Intern you will:
Assist patients and visitors by providing directions answering questions and offering general support
Support patient flow by helping with room readiness transport coordination and communication between departments
Round on patients to ensure comfort needs are met (water blankets emotional support etc.)
Partner with nursing staff and unit coordinators to identify non-clinical needs that improve patient satisfaction
Facilitate visitor check-ins and assist families navigating the hospital
Observe clinical workflows to gain a deeper understanding of hospital operationswithout performing clinical tasks
Promote a positive service-oriented environment on all inpatient units
