This contract position is an on-site role that provides an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician you will play a critical role in assessing and treating patients with urgent medical needs. Youll work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective treatment contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in need
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics to determine treatment plans
- Administer appropriate medical interventions and therapies
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
- Stay current with advancements in emergency medicine practices
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Experience in emergency medicine or related field
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 25k patients
11-bed ED
On-site CT X-ray and lab
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & lodging
