CAMPUS MINISTER MENS MINISTRY

POSITION SUMMARY
The Campus Minister Mens Ministry position will be responsible for formation education and community building among the men of our ministry. Serving a vibrant community of University of Florida Students where 80% of our parishioners are under 25 years old. This role is pivotal in deepening lifelong relationship with Christ and fostering faith in action as masculine missionary disciples.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ministry Coordination:
- Ministry of Presence & Accompaniment primary focus is male students.
- Cultivate a culture of ongoing spiritual development and active participation in parish life.
- Liaise with Agrupacion Catholico Universitario (ACU) leadership organizing and planning the monthly Ignatian formation events and annual Ignatian Silent Retreat.
- Oversee Student Committees including Catholic Gators Mens Ministry Social Committee and Outreach Committee as well as Communication Committee.
Evangelization & Outreach Leadership:
- Organize and plan with student leadership team the twice annual Alpha Retreat.
- Assist our Lead Campus Minister in the organization and planning of the annual F.I.R.E. Retreat in cooperation with the Campus Ministry and Student Leader Teams.
Assessment & Strategic Planning:
- Work alongside members of the campus ministry team to provide formation and direction as well as plan large scale events with Student Co-Coordinators.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of faith formation and evangelization programs seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
- Develop innovative strategies to deepen faith and expand evangelization efforts in response to community needs.
General Duties:
- Assist with Blast Off Week Spring Outreach and other large-scale Catholic Gators events (winter formal open mic night etc.).
- Assist in vocations weeks events host orders and assist with hospitality and transport.
- Teach in the ministry formation program for student leaders.
- Assist in recruiting high school students with Pastor.
- Be available to give talks answer questions provide guidance and resources for students as needed.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelors degree or higherin Theology Religious Education Pastoral ministryor related field preferred.
- C.C.M.A. Certification of theological training and formation suitable for ministry including some formal theology coursework (BA or MA level).
- Catholic in good standing having received all the sacraments of initiation.
- One to three years of experience in college campus ministry young adult youth ministry or education in a Catholic context
- Attend staff meetings.
- Commit to weekly holy hour and monthly fellowship with staff.
- Communicate openly with staff and collaborate on large projects as needed.
- Be attentive to communication from students parents parishioners and staff at the parish and diocesan level.
- Complete all formation as required by Pastor and diocese.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients vendors employees and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
