Job Summary
The Compressor Service Manager will oversee the rebuild and repair of industrial compressors managing a team of technicians to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all equipment. This role requires strong leadership skills technical expertise and a commitment to operational excellence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the rebuild and repair of industrial compressors.
- Manage a team of technicians to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all equipment.
- Develop and implement rebuild schedules and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels and order parts and supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to technicians on best practices and technical skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting compressor issues
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service ethics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in compressor service management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of compressor systems and maintenance practices
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings trainings and events.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer phone printer scanner and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift carry and move up to 50 pounds of files documents and materials.
