TITLE: BHS Stipend Opportunity: BIMAS-2 Professional Development Creator
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services Department or their designee.
STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Department seeks a current BHS School Psychologist to update existing and create new professional development and promotional materials to support school-wide implementation of the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System 2nd Edition (BIMAS-2) the BPS approved universal behavioral health screening. This stipend is to support the training and preparation required for school psychologists and other school leaders to initiate implement and scale BIMAS-2 screening. Examples of training materials include but are not limited to implementation guides 1 page handouts and online course materials.
This opportunity will occur primarily from January 15 2026 to May 1 2026 as needed up to 25 hours. This time-bound position is available as part of a DESE grant that BPS has received.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BHS School Psychologists will need to be familiar with the specific content of the requested training as they will be responsible for:
- Course and material development: set learning objectives create PPTs implementation guides templates training materials and resources for multiple stakeholders (e.g. teachers students families school leaders district leaders etc.)
- Consultation and Collaboration with district BIMAS-2 liaison(s) and/or the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services.
- Documentation: maintain a log of completed activities.
- Feedback: complete a reflection/ provide feedback after materials have been completed.
The stipend will be paid at the hourly rate of $59.39 for up to 25 hours once the responsibilities are completed.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working in Boston Public Schools;
- Appropriate school psychologist licensure.
- Prior experience facilitating BIMAS-2 screening in a BPS school setting.
