Summary
A global logistics and process engineering organization is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the food processing sector across North America. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities building long-term client relationships and delivering tailored material handling and process engineering solutions. The position involves close collaboration with international teams and requires a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food processing industry.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Represent the company at trade shows conferences and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing products and solutions.
- Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and propose customized solutions.
- Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to develop compelling proposals.
- Negotiate contracts aligned with both client objectives and company strategy.
- Provide feedback to technical teams and support post-sales activities.
- Monitor market trends investment activities and sales pipeline progress.
- Contribute to the development of a cohesive global sales strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Business.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B capital equipment sales preferably within the EPC industry.
- Strong knowledge of powder and liquid handling systems (pneumatic conveying experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercially driven with a customer-focused and technical mindset.
- Fluent in English (native or bilingual proficiency).
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20% including occasional international travel).
