AVA designs engineers and manufactures industry-leading full volumetric modular units for the multi-family apartment and hospitality industries in the Upper-Midwest in a 180000 ft2 state of the art facility in Albertville Minnesota. Job Description: The Project Manager will join the Project Management Office (PMO) and primarily assist the Director of Construction and Design in construction management duties which lead manage and support the production and design teams. This position is primarily focused on design and preconstruction efforts while offering support to the GC during on-site construction. This role manages multiple concurrent complex tasks with competing priorities and risks and demands the ability to manage information and communicate accurately to the right people in a timely fashion. Responsibilities: - Provide a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of contract documents including but not limited to: plans specifications applicable codes production drawings and technical details
- Conduct thorough construction document reviews and examine all documents for missing/conflicting scope and quickly develop an ability to integrate traditional design and construction methods to meet modular requirements.
- Prepare detailed project material lists for major fixtures and fittings and partner with purchasing with the pricing and ordering processes.
- Lead value engineering efforts and provide recommendations for alternate materials and production methods using established review processes while coordinating outcomes with other department leads including QA/QC and VDC/BIM
- Process RFIs submittals and substitution requests with Design Teams and Owners. Create and maintain applicable tracking logs.
- Attend daily factory floor meeting. Provide immediate support to production group to mitigate any production delays.
- Act as main POC for the GC by providing scheduling forecasts timely and accurate preconstruction information and modular technical support including install methods
- Ensure strict adherence to safety ethics and compliance requirements at all times
- Other duties as assigned.
