Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor installs maintains repairs and fabricates plant equipment and facilities.

Where Youll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Suffolk VA daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What Youll Do

Assignments include but are not limited to building maintenance phone data and wiring repair of conveyors packaging equipment fork trucks hydraulics HVAC equipment etc.
Perform periodic inspections tests and preventive maintenance schedule and report findings.
Work from mechanical and/or electrical schematic sketches manuals specifications and written and oral instructions.
Under minimal directions works directly from the work orders.
Use hand and power tools and other equipment as necessary to complete assignments.
Follow all company safety and security procedures.
Maintain a clean work area.
Performs other related activities as assigned and needed.

What Youll Bring

High School diploma or equivalent combination of training and education.
A minimum of 5-7 years related maintenance experience.
Must have distribution/manufacturing electrical experience.
Educational requirements would include evidence of electrical theory with a degree in electronics or electricity a plus.
Must have primary and secondary trade skills to include electrician carpenter pipefitter air conditioning mechanic welder and/or machine repair.
Must have a broad knowledge of pneumatic controls packaging equipment conveyor belts phone and data wiring HVAC and electrical systems and a PC preventative maintenance program.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Can work overtime and weekends as assigned.
