General Information:
The Digital Marketing Intern is an integral part of JMUs Digital Marketing Team which is responsible for the quality and brand consistency of the Universitys digital experiences on the website and in email. Our team helps maintain over 26000 pages on and aims to improve user experience and accessibility for all visitors.
The Digital Marketing Intern is an integral part of our small collaborative team. From conducting regular webpage maintenance to assisting with larger design and user-experience tasks this position is an excellent entry-level position for anyone interested in marketing branding web programming or UX fields.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help maintain the brand consistency of James Madison University on digital platforms
- Review updated/newly published web pages
- Edit and/or suggest edits to improve the user experience of web pages
- Complete daily webpage health reports
- Data entry as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire/willingness to learn new skills
Additional consideration given for:
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS code Adobe Photoshop
- Experience using Mac systems
- Awareness of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1AA)

Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
