Responsibilities
ES Tech is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern. As a key member of our software engineering department you will be an integral part of designing developing testing and implementing innovative software solutions utilizing the Microsoft stack. Our development approach follows the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology ensuring efficiency and adaptability in our processes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement software solutions that enhance underwriting claims and operational processes incorporating user interfaces advanced algorithms and workflow automation.
- Facilitate the refinement planning and implementation of products for information delivery and processing encompassing web applications lightweight UIs APIs and console applications.
- Contribute to a team effort in delivering solutions that meet business needs and align with the overall software vision and strategy.
- Build and maintain an end-to-end approach connecting all layers of software to fulfill product requirements.
- Work closely with our experienced engineering team to learn and adhere to industry standards best practices and coding principles.
- Identify design and implement internal process improvements and client-facing workflow enhancements focusing on automating manual processes optimizing user experience and improving the SDLC.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gain insights into various aspects of our industry from underwriting to actuarial processes.
- Demonstrate a passion for staying current on tech trends experimenting with and learning new technologies and actively participating in internal and external technology communities.
- Participate in code reviews gaining valuable insights and feedback directly from senior engineers on a diverse range of topics.
- Learn and implement DevSecOps practices within our robust existing infrastructure including but not limited to build and release pipelines automated testing encryption authentication and authorization and cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Working towards a Degree in Computer Science Engineering MIS Business or related experience
- Demonstrated interest and skill in software engineering web development or automation.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Creative problem solving.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Team Player.
Required Skills
- C# Object-oriented programming experience preferred.
- HTML css JavaScript experience preferred.
- SQL experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the Agile Methodology and/or Scrum preferred.
