AI/ML ENGINEER - AGENT DEVELOPMENT

Location: Remote in LATAM

Duration: 3 months

Pay rate: $35 - 40/hr on W2

Position Overview

Design develop and optimize AI agents that automatically generate production-ready data pipelines. Focus on prompt engineering LLM integration and agent orchestration to create intelligent systems that understand requirements and produce high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Architecture & Design

• Design multi-agent systems (Requirements Intelligence Prototype Acceleration Data Engineering agents)
• Architect agent communication protocols and data flow between agents
• Define agent capabilities inputs outputs and success criteria
• Create agent orchestration workflows and dependency management

Prompt Engineering & LLM Integration

• Develop sophisticated prompts for Claude API to generate production code (PySpark SQL Python)
• Implement few-shot learning with code pattern examples in Knowledge Base
• Optimize prompt construction for token efficiency and output quality
• Fine-tune prompts to achieve >95% first-time code compilation success rate

Code Generation & Quality

• Build systems that generate Bronze/Silver/Gold data pipeline code
• Implement code validation linting (Pylint) and formatting (Black) pipelines
• Create automated test generation for unit tests and integration tests
• Develop query optimization systems (broadcast hints Z-ORDER partitioning)

Knowledge Base & Pattern Management

• Design and maintain vector database with 50 reusable code patterns
• Implement semantic search for pattern retrieval using embeddings
• Build pattern evaluation system to track success rates and performance
• Create feedback loops for continuous pattern improvement

Agent Performance & Optimization

• Monitor agent success rates processing times and output quality
• Optimize Claude API usage to minimize costs ($1.20-$2.40 per pipeline target)
• Implement caching strategies to reduce redundant API calls
• Build A/B testing framework for prompt variations

Required Skills

Must Have:

• 3-5 years experience with LLMs (GPT-4 Claude Llama) and prompt engineering
• Strong Python programming (async/await decorators type hints)
• Experience with API integration (REST Claude API OpenAI API)
• Understanding of code generation and Abstract Syntax Trees (AST)
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone Weaviate ChromaDB)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with LangChain LlamaIndex or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of PySpark and Apache Spark
• Familiarity with data warehouse patterns (Medallion architecture Star Schema)
• Experience with Delta Lake and Databricks
• Background in reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF)
