Job Summary
Project Overview
Client is seeking an IT Support Specialist for a 6 month remote contract role supporting Central Standard Time (CST) hours. This position focuses on controls assurance compliance support and risk mitigation within a technology and security environment. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance standards are met and properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute controls assurance activities using established control frameworks to identify technology risks.
- Review and evaluate existing control implementations.
- Support compliance initiatives by reviewing and collecting audit evidence.
- Ensure control documentation meets compliance requirements.
- Maintain compliance records including audit evidence and control documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risk mitigation needs.
- Contribute to a collaborative performance-focused work environment across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3 5 years of experience in Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) internal audit external audit or a similar role.
- Experience supporting compliance and control assurance activities.
- Functional knowledge of identity and access security domains.
- Familiarity with information security standards and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of at least one compliance framework such as SOC 2 ISO 27001 ITGC Controls or NIST CSF.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and IT control environments.
- Knowledge of identity and access security concepts.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
