Job Summary

Compensation for Travelers (36hrs/week):

  • Gross Weekly Pay: $3800/week.
  • Taxable Weekly Pay: $1746/week W2 Rate: $48.5/hr.
  • Non-Taxable Weekly Pay: $2054/week.

Job Requirements:

  1. Level 1 trauma and Siemens experience is required.
  2. BLS and ARRT.
  3. Must be COVID Flu vaccinated.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental doing so ensures the patient is properly prepared positioned
  2. immobilized and uses a protective shield on the patient as needed. Selects proper imaging factors and images the designated portion(s) of the body.
  3. Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards (patient confidentiality professional conduct etc.). Delivers patient care under the scope of license/training.
  4. To maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and other hospital personnel i.e. professional nursing etc.
  5. Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the workday.
  6. To notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
  7. Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam (e.g schedule exam complete exam transfer images to PACS etc.).
  8. Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist. Follow all hospital and departmental contrast administration policies and procedures.
  9. Attend staff meetings in-services and maintain appropriate CEUs in accordance with the Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic
  10. May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students (medical radiography CT nuclear medicine) within the department.
  11. Prepare the equipment room and supplies necessary for each patient and for regular daily use. Stock and supply room as needed.
  12. To acknowledge and participate in research programs quality assurance and quality improvement projects carried out in the department (i.e. cost containment).
  13. To assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and to remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as necessary.
  14. Rotates within department divisions and all off-site clinics by shifts as required and needed; cooperates with all personnel promoting harmony within the department
  15. Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines.
  16. Uses independent judgment ingenuity and initiative under pressure in a variety of situations when performing patient exams.
