Position Purpose
The medical receptionist is responsible for servicing all areas and completing all tasks related to the front desk area of a physician practice. As client facing professionals this position plays a key role in representing the practice in the community.
As a Medical Receptionist you will:
- Serve patients by greeting and helping them scheduling appointments and maintaining records and accounts.
- Optimize patients satisfaction provider time and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information recording and collecting patient charges controlling credit extended to patients and filing collecting and expediting third-party claims.
- Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical personal and financial information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1 year of physician office experience (preferred)
