Position Purpose

The medical receptionist is responsible for servicing all areas and completing all tasks related to the front desk area of a physician practice. As client facing professionals this position plays a key role in representing the practice in the community.

As a Medical Receptionist you will:

• Serve patients by greeting and helping them scheduling appointments and maintaining records and accounts.
• Optimize patients satisfaction provider time and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
• Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information recording and collecting patient charges controlling credit extended to patients and filing collecting and expediting third-party claims.
• Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical personal and financial information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1 year of physician office experience (preferred)
