Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking those looking to work full time or part time as an Afterhours Lead - Critical Care Medical Officer within our Intensive Care Team for 12 months. Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield. This state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU maternity emergency and medical surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.
Mater Hospital Springfield is a modern nine storey facility featuring an ED ICU and General Surgical Medical Paediatric and Maternity -located with Mater Private Hospital Springfield the campus will provide a combined 233 inpatient beds.
The new 9-bed ICU will deliver full vital organ support including mechanical and noninvasive ventilation inotropic/vasopressor therapy and renal replacement therapy for critically ill patients and those undergoing major elective and emergency procedures.
Mater Intensive Care Services operate integrated public and private ICUs across our South Brisbane campus (soon to expand to three units with Springfield). Our experienced supportive team cares for complex surgical neurosurgical medical obstetric and oncology/haematology patients. The existing South Brisbane ICUs are accredited by CICM for (C12) advanced training and neurosurgical critical care training there is a plan for Mater Springfield ICU to attain advanced training accreditation in 12 to 24 months after opening.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
