The Opportunity

Were seeking a motivated and detail-focused Claims Officer Litigation & Credit Hire to join our AUSPAC Claims team. This role is integral in managing litigated matters and credit hire recoveries ensuring fair efficient and strategic resolution of claims while protecting our customers and QBEs interests.

Youll work closely with internal stakeholders external legal representatives credit hire organisations and third-party claimants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys investigative work and is confident in applying policy knowledge and negotiation skills.

Your new role

  • Manage a portfolio of litigated and credit hire claims ensuring timely progression and adherence to internal guidelines including correct process handling and escalation pathways.

  • Assess liability using available evidence aligning with established Credit Hire and Litigation procedures

  • Respond to credit hire enquiries appropriately following scripting and escalation steps as outlined in internal Credit Hire protocols (e.g. non-disclosure of claim details and transferring callers to Litigation & Settlements Team

  • Negotiate settlements using sound commercial judgment to achieve optimal outcomes for QBE.

  • Collaborate with legal partners Technical Claims Officers and Managers on litigated matters and highrisk claims.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation throughout the claim lifecycle.

About you

To succeed in this role youll have

  • Experience in motor liability or litigated claims management preferably with exposure to credit hire matters.

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills including the ability to interpret policy evidence and legal arguments.

  • Confidence managing complex stakeholders such as solicitors recovery agents and technical specialists.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to influence outcomes professionally.

  • Commitment to delivering fair and customer-centred claim resolutions.

  • Ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
