Job Summary
W International is offering a PAID welding school course!
Come work for a great organization building your 30 year career with us doing the prideful work of building large componentsfor new fleet of submarines and aircraft carriers supporting National Defense!
Course details: 9 weeks MON-FRI 8:00am - 4:30pm. Classes will be ongoing for the coming months.
Location: Possibility the first 9 weeks is a Trident Tech(MainCampus) before moving to W International after training.
Weld Jacket Tools and workbooks are supplied
Pay - $12/hour during course
After successful completion of the course you will move into a full time position with us at $18/hour and full benefits package
Requirements:
Must be a U.S Citizen
Must be a High School Graduate or GED equivalent
What you will learn:
Reports directly to the Weld Manager.
Must be able to pass VT inspection for non-code welding.
Must be able to set up welding machine with proper weld wire and shielding gas.
Must be able to utilize all hand tools and grinders.
Must be able to use a grinder for proper post-weld clean-up.
Hammers chips and grinds work piece to cut bend and straighten metal.
Assist senior Welder/Fabricators when requested.
Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.
Must be able to distinguish varying thicknesses of metal materials.
