The purpose of the Security Dignity Harms Protection Investigation Manager is to ensure that victims of Dignity Harms receive timely high-quality support in line with international standards. This role will lead a team of professionals in providing essential services such as investigation reporting and presenting cases of BHV and other related Dignity Harms investigations.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement dignity harm prevention and response programs that are aligned with international best practices standards and organizational strategies.
- Ensure victim-centered approaches in all interventions focusing on confidentiality safety and empowerment of survivors.
- Coordinate the delivery of a multi-sectoral response for victims including medical legal psychosocial and protection services where required.
- Design training programs for staff volunteers and community stakeholders on dignity harm issues survivor care and referral systems.
- Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure that services are meeting the needs of victims and achieving program objectives.
- Supervise and mentor dignity harm staff ensuring that they have the tools training and support to effectively implement dignity harm programs.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment that fosters teamwork professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
- Provide technical oversight on dignity harm case management ensuring that best practices are followed and that staff are equipped to provide survivor-centered care.
- Advocate for policies and practices that support dignity harm victims both at the local and national levels.
- Support capacity building within partner organizations local authorities and communities on dignity harm prevention and response.
- Raise awareness within the community about dignity harm issues prevention strategies and available services for victims.
- Develop and implement dignity harm emergency response plans in areas prone to conflict displacement or other crisis situations.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Degree in Social Work Psychology Law Public Health or related field such as investigation of dignity related cases
- Valid drivers license code B or C1
Technical Knowledge
5-7 years in dignity harm programming
At least 2 years in managerial/leadership role
Technical knowledge(experience) required for role:
- Good knowledge of applicable business communication and business reports writing
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Communications in English (spoken written and reading)
- Knowledge of security related legislation / policies / procedures / standards and Regulations
- Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR)
You will also need to have:
- No criminal record
- Pass polygraph test
- Good command of English language both written and speaking
If successful you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness test.
