DescriptionPark Nicollet is looking to hire an Oncology Therapist to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Provides assessment and outpatient treatment using empirically supported treatment modalities to patient of Park Nicollet Health Services in a high-quality cost-effective manner. Dedicates at least 80% of his/her time to providing face-to-face psychological services to patients.
This role will provide short-term psychotherapy (both in-person and virtual) to patients receiving oncology care within HealthPartners Cancer Care Centers. Primary sites will be at Frauenshuh Cancer Center at Methodist Hospital and Regions Cancer Care Center. Focus is on providing support related to adjustment to oncology diagnoses treatment and survivorship as well as end of life concerns.

Required Qualifications:
- Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Masters degree in social work psychology marriage and family nursing or related field of study.
- Two or more years of relevant clinical experience (e.g. diagnostic assessments individual family and group counseling) including working with multidisciplinary teams in a medical/mental health setting.
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Obtains and maintains an active MN state license to practice independently as a masters therapist or counselor social worker marriage and family therapist or nurse specialist.
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills written and verbal communication assessment and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively problem solve and make sound ethical decisions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related developmental principles necessary to provide appropriate services and ensure patient safety.
- Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer Telephone Fax Machine Photocopier Printer and electronic medical record.
