Job Summary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

RN - PEDS CICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU will have the following job responsibilities:

  • You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery
  • You will organize implement modify evaluate document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized family centered and holistic
  • You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
  • You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement
  • You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

RN - PEDS CICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree; BSN required w/6 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
  • Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
  • CCRN Preferred
