Job Summary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
RN - PEDS CICU
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU will have the following job responsibilities:
- You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery
- You will organize implement modify evaluate document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized family centered and holistic
- You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
- You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement
- You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
RN - PEDS CICU
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric CICU must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree; BSN required w/6 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
- Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
- CCRN Preferred
