Position Overview
NurseAmerica is seeking experienced IMCU/PCU Registered Nurses for a high-demand travel assignment in Upstate New York. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses experienced in stepdown/intermediate care with exposure to cardiac neuro and respiratory cases.
Schedule
- Shift: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 48 hours/week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekend/holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care to stepdown/intermediate acuity patients
- Manage cardiac neuro trauma and respiratory conditions
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment (A-lines Bipap chest tubes temp pacers)
- Provide care for chronic ventilated patients (RT support available)
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
- Float to other units as needed
Requirements
- Active New York RN License
- Minimum 2 years IMCU/PCU experience
- Travel experience preferred
- BLS ACLS NIHSS (AHA) required
- EPIC experience required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patients

- 64-bed unit (15 Neuro-designated beds)
- Adult patient population
- Common diagnoses:
- COPD DKA Sepsis
- MI CV Stepdown
- Post-operative cases
