Job Summary

A popular and improving secondary school in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join its supportive Humanities team. The Role

As Teacher of Geography you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to A-Level Geography depending on experience and departmental need. The curriculum is carefully sequenced to help students build powerful geographical knowledge over time while developing essential skills such as:

  • Using maps graphs and geographical data effectively

  • Applying place knowledge and understanding physical and human processes

  • Constructing extended written responses and well-evidenced arguments

  • Developing enquiry and investigative thinking through case studies and fieldwork-style learning

Students study a broad range of topics including tectonics weather and climate rivers and coasts ecosystems urban change development resource management and contemporary global issues. Lessons are designed to encourage curiosity and discussion while ensuring students can explain analyse and evaluate with increasing sophistication.

Youll work closely with colleagues to plan high-quality lessons share resources and support consistent approaches that help all learners make strong progress.
