HOSPITAL LAB TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Permanent Position: Hospital Lab Technical Specialist Progeny HR Solutions LLC is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Lab Technical Specialist to join our team at a leading hospital in Reno NV. This is a full-time permanent position that offers competitive salary and benefits. As a Hospital Lab Technical Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the hospital laboratory ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all laboratory procedures and processes. You will work closely with the laboratory staff providing technical expertise and guidance and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the technical operations of the hospital laboratory including but not limited to specimen processing testing and reporting. - Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to laboratory staff including training and mentoring. - Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory supplies and equipment. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including CLIA CAP and OSHA standards. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise in the laboratory. - Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of laboratory results. - Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and technologies. - Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in laboratory technology. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a hospital laboratory with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. - ASCP certification or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures equipment and regulations. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Proven track record of ensuring accuracy and efficiency in laboratory operations. - Proficient in using laboratory information systems.
