DescriptionNature of Work: This position typically reports to a Head Athletic Trainer Director or appropriate higher-level administrator in the University.
Responsibilities- Provides medical care to assigned patient populations including daily evaluations emergency care treatments rehabilitation sessions and attending practices and games as assigned.
- Develop injury prevention programs which may include use of modalities therapeutic exercises reconditioning exercises along with other members of the healthcare and performance team.
- Utilize software to track and document patient medical records and coordinate insurance information.
- Acts as a liaison between patients parents coaches physicians administrators and others as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Environment- indoor and outdoor settings.
- Physical Requirements- climbing standing stooping walking and typing; ability to lift up to or more than 20 lbs as needed.
- Travel- Ability to travel as needed for work requirements.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited university; Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); and Eligible for Florida State AT licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited university

A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an
