Job Summary

As we continue to grow and navigate an increasingly complex global trade environment we are looking for a Global Trade & Customs Manager who is passionate about making an impact driving excellence and collaborating across borders. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy operations and compliance in a truly international setting.

As the Global Trade & Customs Manager you will report to and support the Global Head of Trade & Customs in leading the organizations trade and customs operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the organizations global trade & customs strategy driving both operational excellence and compliance in an everchanging trade landscape. You will need a strong understanding of global customs regulations the ability to implement strategies in a changing multinational environment and the skills to drive performance in a highpaced matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Trade & Customs Strategy Execution

  • Assist the Global Head of Trade & Customs in implementing the global trade and customs strategy ensuring alignment with regional and supply chain objectives.
  • Contribute to integrating regional trade and customs functions into a cohesive highperforming global team.
  • Provide insights and analysis on trade and customs risks regulatory changes and duty optimization opportunities to senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Support a wide range of projects and initiatives at global or regional/local levels.

2. Duty Optimization & Efficiency

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and execute dutysaving and efficiency initiatives.
  • Support efforts to optimize customs operations balancing cost reduction and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive projects to enhance leadtime efficiency while maintaining adherence to customs requirements.

3. Customs Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor and analyze changes in global trade regulations tariffs and sanctions providing timely updates to the Global Head of Customs and regional teams.
  • Support the development and maintenance of global customs policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Help ensure compliance with customs regulations including classification of goods nonpreferential and preferential country of origin bonded warehouses free zones etc.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to proactively address risks related to trade sanctions embargoes and other barriers.
  • Assist in managing customs audits regulatory inquiries and relationships with customs authorities.
  • Manage apply for and implement licenses/authorizations related to import and export.
  • Work closely with or support tax disciplines such as transfer pricing and indirect tax with respect to interrelationships and dependencies.
  • Support compliance on environmental taxes and duties including through the design and implementation of compliance processes.

4. Collaboration with Regional Teams

  • Act as a point of contact for regional customs teams ensuring effective communication and alignment with global objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to regional teams to foster compliance and process optimization.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledgesharing across regions to enhance team performance.

Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect tax and customs management trade compliance or global logistics preferably in a multinational corporation or advisory role.
  • Global Expertise: Familiarity with global customs regulations particularly in markets such as the EU and the US.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of trade compliance and customs processes with the ability to adapt to changes in international trade laws and geopolitical developments.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required.
