Senior Product Manager

Job Summary
This is a Product Manager role with a strong operational twist. It sits at the intersection of product development execution and scale-up. The role is not only about defining what the product should be but also about ensuring it can be delivered in practice embedded into the wider organization and continuously improved over time.
In the near term this role will help lead the transition from central hands-on execution into a more scalable operating model. That means designing the right processes policies governance and cross-functional ways of working so that more of the operational activities can be executed successfully within the wider business. At the same time we are not yet fully scaled. During this transition the role will also require a roll-up-the-sleeves mindset and a willingness to stay close to day-to-day execution step in where needed and help maintain service quality while the long-term setup is being established.
Over time the role will continue to own key parts of the delivery promise product end-to-end. This includes responsibility for how promises are generated how the product performs operationally and how it should evolve as we mature our offering. The role therefore requires someone who can combine product thinking and strategic scale-up capability with strong operational understanding and pragmatic execution.
The right candidate understands that successful product management in this space is not only about vision and roadmap. It is also about building solutions that work in the real world aligning stakeholders across product operations regional teams and technology and translating frontline learnings into scalable improvements. This person should be comfortable moving between strategic discussions and detailed operational realities knowing when to design for the future and when to step in to get things done.
A key part of the role will also be to identify where work is too manual fragmented or dependent on individuals and to help standardize simplify and automate where possible. As the product matures further the role is also expected to build greater transparency around cost drivers cost-to-serve and the broader profitability profile of the delivery promise supporting better decisions on both product development and execution.
We are looking for someone with strong product management instincts excellent communication skills and a natural ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate brings structure to ambiguity understands operational complexity and is energized by building the bridge between early-stage execution and scalable productized operations across ocean and land. They should be equally comfortable discussing long-term product strategy improving current operating practices and staying close enough to the work to understand what really needs to change.
