About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Solutions Design Manager within Customs Solutions & Services based in Europe.

The position is open to candidates across Europe continuing in your current location.

There is no relocation support available for this opportunity.

This is a critical individual contributor role within GlobalCustoms Product and Innovation team reporting directly to the Head of Customs Solutions & Services. The position has been created to strengthen how customs solutions are designed validated and commercialised for some of Maersks most strategic global customers.

The role sits at the heart of the commercial process and ensures that customer customs requirements are translated into viable scalable and valuedriven solutions aligned with Maersks operational and product capabilities.

What youll be doing:

In this role you will work closely with Sales Customers Product Operations and Technical Design teams to shape and validate customs solutions before they move into delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Translating complex customer customs requirements into clear solution logic and solution blueprints
• Supporting presales activities on complex or strategic customs opportunities
• Validating solutions upfront for commercial viability cost compliance and operational feasibility
• Acting as a trusted partner to Sales by consolidating and challenging solution inputs where needed
• Leading internal alignment with Product Operations and Technical teams
• Supporting the development of standardised solution components playbooks and reusable packages
• Ensuring strong alignment between what is sold and what can be delivered
• Feeding postsale insights back into continuous solution improvement

This is not a sales hunting role. Instead you are a solution and process expert embedded in commercial conversations to improve quality speed and outcomes.

Strong customs expertise is essential for this role.

You are likely to be successful if you bring:

• Solid endtoend understanding of customs processes and customs solutions
• Experience working in customerfacing or commercially oriented roles
• Strong analytical and structuring skills able to turn ambiguity into concrete solutions
• A commercial mindset with awareness of cost value and feasibility
• Proven stakeholder management skills across functions and seniority levels
• Confidence operating independently in a role without a fixed rulebook
• Strong communication and documentation skills (presentations solution materials)

You do not need to come from handson customs declaration but you must have more than a basic understanding of customs.
