Key Responsibilities
- Good Knowledge of Manufacturability / Producibility practices specific to precision machined sheet metal fabrication and plastic parts. Understanding of basic electrical components would be desirable.
- Ability to perform technical calculations on individual build to print parts and simple assemblies to determine a fair and acceptable price for both Applied Materials and our suppliers
- Understanding of GD&T standards for proper application. Able to identify cost reduction / avoidance ideas through DFx tenets and collaborate with design engineers.
- Will prepare project plan and coordinates the attainment of project deliverables from planning to implementation. Maintains matrix for process improvements
- Will drive project deliverables and task details by through the use reports tracking charts and checklists.
- Good communication skills to work with cross functional teams like Design/Materials/Mfg./Quality/Suppliers are a must.
- Will participate on intra business unit design teams to complete projects. Will contribute to the teams technical development in the pursuit of the teams project goals.
Functional Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with precision parts manufacturing / Assembly environment preferred.
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in mechanical or production engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines
Business Expertise
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Leadership
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Problem Solving
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

- Impacts a range of customer operational project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
