Field Service IX Power

POSITION SUMMARY

To assist the Operations Manager Power to carry out the companys commitment and promise delivery of service level to the customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering to join our team. This position will primarily focus on providing on-site service maintenance and support for critical electrical systems in data centers including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with a solid understanding of electrical systems and data center operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform installation commissioning maintenance troubleshooting analyzes and prepare root cause analysis report (RCA) 24X7 support of UPS systems and other critical electrical equipment within data centers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks on UPS systems power distribution units (PDUs) static transfer switch (STS) electrical panels and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues including power outages UPS failures and system alarms ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support for clients answering queries and delivering solutions for electrical system issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities including work orders reports and service history.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of electrical systems in the data center.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures while working on-site.
• Perform regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
• Assist with the training of junior engineers and technicians on electrical systems and best practices.
• Monitor and track system performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in field of service engineering specifically with UPS systems and data center electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including UPS Battery STS PDUs transformers and power distribution.
• Ability to troubleshoot analyze and prepare root cause analysis report (RCA) electrical issues read and interpret electrical schematics and perform hands-on repairs.
• Familiarity with data center operations and critical power systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to electrical systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with advanced UPS models and other backup power solutions.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
• Certifications in UPS maintenance electrical safety or similar fields are a plus.
