The DT Technician will provide technical and practical support to ensure safe engaging and well-resourced Design & Technology lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to maintain workshops and specialist equipment to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials tools and resources for lessons
Maintaining machinery and workshop equipment
Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
Ensuring full health and safety compliance in workshops
Managing stock control and ordering supplies
Assisting with project setups and coursework preparation
Previous experience in a DT Technician or similar practical role
Knowledge of workshop tools machinery and materials
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Organised reliable and proactive approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience within a school or academy setting is desirable but not essential.
