The Role
As Head of Design & Technology you will provide strategic leadership across the DT curriculum overseeing provision at KS3 & KS4 with potential KS5 depending on specialism (e.g. Product Design Resistant Materials Engineering).
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the vision and development of the DT department
Driving high standards of teaching learning and assessment
Overseeing curriculum planning schemes of work and quality assurance
Monitoring student progress and implementing intervention strategies
Line managing and developing departmental staff
Ensuring health & safety compliance within practical environments
Promoting enrichment opportunities such as competitions exhibitions and STEM initiatives
You will maintain a teaching timetable and model outstanding classroom practice.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge within Design & Technology
Experience teaching to KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
Commitment to high standards safety and curriculum development
