Job Summary
Assistant Multimedia EditorReports To: Senior Multimedia EditorJob SummaryThe Queens Journal is an entirely student-run newspaper at Queens University. The paper was founded in 1873 and has been continually published ever since. The Journal publishes a bi-weekly print edition and regular online content throughout the year. Video samples must be e-mailed to at the time of your application submission to supplement your application. Please include your name and the position title in the files Communication Organization Ownership Cultural Sensitivity Creativity CollaborationJob Duties Create and produce videos and media for social media platforms on relevant stories The Journal is publishing in collaboration with the Editors in Chief and the Senior Videos Editor Help to generate video ideas for each issue Shoot and edit video assignments Assist in managing The Journals social media accounts with consistency in posting and public facing presence Respect and adhere to all company policies procedures and ethical standards Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor Attend and fully participate in all in person and virtual meetings Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively Strive to foster a warm comfortable and respectful atmosphere for all Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement Complete other job duties as assignedJob Requirements Sound analytical thinking planning prioritization and execution skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWork Conditions Interaction and collaboration with coworkers management and the Queens community
